The Sports Center Public Welfare Training Paves the Road for Youth Tennis
At the beginning of this year, good news came from the Sports Center. Coach Peng of the Tennis Center of the Sports Center excitedly shared the news with us that his pupil Han Puzhu had just won the second place in 2018 Rafa Nadal Tour Nanjing Qiongzhou Stop U14 Group
‘Rafa Nadal Tour’ was initiated by Rafa Nadal, the King of Clay, who has won 10 French Open titles and 16 grand slam titles, in 2014 in Spain. Rafa Nadal Tour first came to China in 2017. The four norms of the Tour ‘sports spirit, self discipline, bravery for transcendence, and team spirits’, and the Value Trophy all reflect that the Tour not only values tennis skills but also strives to cultivate children’s good personalities and qualities. Champions of six groups in the finals will not only get the ‘bull head trophy’ but also have the opportunity to go to Nadal Tennis Academy in Spain and study tennis elite course for free.
This clever and confident girl with long
legs has left deep impressions on staffs of the Sports Center.
Since 2016, Han Puzhu took Coach Peng as her trainer and has practiced quietly
in the Sports Center. Han Puzhu came into contact with
tennis in 2013. She was trained approximately three times every week and
received intensive training in summer and winter vocations. Though she loves
tennis, she is a student of good characters and scholarship and excellent both
in studies and tennis, completely becoming ‘other people’s child’. After the
New Year, she will return to the tennis court, and actively prepare for the
finals of the Tour held in Beijing.
Learning to play a sport from an early age
not only cultivates a lifelong interest and hobby but also supplements the
study, career, family’s well-being, and sense of achievement. The tennis sport
is the one that is suitably cultivated from childhood. It is a kind of sports
without physical contacts where players play against each other across the net,
avoiding unnecessary injuries. Therefore, tennis is one of the sports where
players have the longest sport life span.
The phase III Sports Center Youth Tennis
